Nothing starts a conversation quite like a list, especially a list of books. And the IndieBound Bestseller List is perfect for doing just that. A growing number of bloggers and tweeters are referencing the list -- creating conversations and generating interest and sales for great books.
Here's a preview of the August Indie Next List, now on its way to ABA member stores in the IndieBound movement, and a reminder that July Notable titles are now featured in a flier and shelf-talkers, downloadable here and from BookWeb.org.
 Nine regional booksellers associations have joined to create a page-a-day calendar that promotes the IndieBound movement, launched by the American Booksellers Association at BookExpo America 2008. The regional associations plan to use profits from sales of the calendar, which is available exclusively to independent bookstores, to support member programming.
For the eight-week period ending July 7, 2009, and based on sales at independent bookstores nationwide.
