With consumer interest in e-reading on the rise, it's important to let customers know that they can buy e-books from you, through your store's ABA IndieCommerce website. Now, a time-tested selling tool -- the Indie Next List -- has been tapped to help in the effort.
E-books also benefit from the unique touch of the independent bookseller. Customers still need good book recommendations, and the Indie Next List brings together favorite handsells from independent booksellers across the U.S.
Here's a preview of the titles on the January Indie Next List flier, now on its way to ABA member stores in the IndieBound movement. A downloadable PDF version of the list will also be available beginning January 1 on BookWeb.org and IndieBound.org.

The Winter 2009/2010 Kids' Indie Next List flier, on its way to stores in the IndieBound movement, misidentifies the name of the bookstore for the bookseller's quote for the title I Am a Genius of Unspeakable Evil and I Want to Be Your Class President. The title was nominated by Lisa Baudoin, who is the managing partner/owner at Books & Company in Oconomowoc, Wisconsin.
 The latest additions to the IndieBound Bookseller DIY -- new holiday designs emphasizing books as gifts -- have just been expanded.
i's and e's collide in the new, 2.0 version of IndieBound for iPhone. Consumers can now search for and purchase eBooks from independent booksellers across the United States. The Indie Bestsellers, the Indie Next List, and other book lists now feature an "also available as an eBook" sticker where appropriate. The Book Search has also been upgraded with a choice of three searches: all results, books only, or eBooks only.
 The Winter 2009/2010 Kids' Indie Next List can now be seen in preview online. The four-page, full-color flier will be arriving at indie bookstores in the upcoming quarterly Children's White Box.
