 Last Friday, BookExpo America announced a new time and location for this year's keynote address by former chairman of the Federal Reserve Board Dr. Alan Greenspan. The Conference Keynote, which is open to all convention attendees, will now be held in the Special Events Hall of the Jacob K. Javits Convention Center at 5:15 p.m. on Friday, June 1.
 May 11 is the "Early Bird Discount" registration deadline for BookExpo America. After that date, rates will increase for all three-day and one-day passes in all industry categories. For ABA member booksellers, the rate will increase from $75 to $100 for a three-day pass and from $40 to $50 for one-day admission.
 The American Booksellers Association's Book Sense Lounge at BookExpo America -- Room 1E07/1E08 of New York City's Jacob Javits Convention Center -- will offer member booksellers snacks and a place to relax, check e-mail, meet colleagues, and learn about ABA products and services.
From Wednesday, May 30, through Friday, June 1, at this year's BookExpo America, American Booksellers Association members are invited to evening receptions sponsored by Book Sense Publisher Partners at Hotel ABA, the New York Marriott at the Brooklyn Bridge, in Brooklyn, New York. Open to all ABA members, each evening's reception, from 9:00 p.m.
HarperCollins is sponsoring a Bag Check Room at the Javits Convention Center for the exclusive use of bookstore members of the American Booksellers Association who are staying at Hotel ABA at this year's BookExpo America.
To help booksellers, librarians, and others in the book industry create celebrations for the fourth annual "Latino Books Month" this May, the Association of American Publishers (AAP) is offering a Latino Books Month Resource Kit, featuring reading lists, posters, and other materials to encourage communities to read books by and for Latinos, in both English and Spanish. As part of the initiative, AAP member publishers will also be holding a special author event at BookExpo America (BEA).

 The Rock Bottom Remainders -- the all-star writer band -- will be celebrating their 15th anniversary with a performance at New York City's Webster Hall on Friday, June 1, during BookExpo America.
 To celebrate the 200th anniversary of John Wiley & Sons, Inc., as well as Frommer's 50th, and to make travel between Hotel ABA, the New York Marriott at the Brooklyn Bridge, and the Jacob Javits Center that much easier, Wiley will be sponsoring New York City subway MetroCards for all Hotel-ABA registered guests. The cards will be pre-loaded and available to booksellers at the welcome desk at Hotel ABA.
 New and prospective booksellers who want to participate in the Booksellers School sponsored by the American Booksellers Association and facilitated by Paz & Associates at this year's Hotel ABA should register for the four-day program as soon as possible and book a hotel room now.

Registration has closed for Hotel ABA, the New York Marriott at the Brooklyn Bridge in Brooklyn, New York. However, ABA is still taking names for a hotel waiting list and is hopeful that additional booksellers can still be accommodated.
