Picador Offers Tickets to Screening of New Paul Auster Film

Picador and Paul Auster are offering American Booksellers Association members a limited number of tickets for a special advance screening of Auster's new film, The Inner Life of Martin Frost. The screening will be followed by a Q&A with the author.

The event will be held on Wednesday, May 30, at 8:45 p.m. at the BAM Rose Cinemas at the Brooklyn Academy of Music (30 Lafayette Avenue, less than a mile from Hotel ABA).

Booksellers who would like to request tickets should send an e-mail, including name, store, and contact information, to [email protected]. Tickets will be given out on a first-come/first-served basis.

Written and directed by Auster, The Inner Life of Martin Frost stars David Thewlis, Irene Jacob, Michael Imperioli, and Sophie Auster. Based on an imaginary film that appears in Auster's novel The Book of Illusions, The Inner Life of Martin Frost is described as at once tender, moving, and devilishly funny.

Picador will publish the screenplay, including an in-depth interview with Auster about the genesis and making of the film, as a paperback original on June 1.
