Ingram Book Realigns Key Marketing Roles
On July 6, the Nashville Business Journal reported that Ingram Book Group, Inc., in La Vergne, Tennessee, had "realigned the roles of some of its key marketing executives." Audrey Seitz, formerly the director of publisher and creative services, is now the vice president for merchandising, and Tamara Crabtree, formerly the director of product marketing and promotions, is now the vice president for publisher marketing and creative services, NBJ reported.

In an effort to "make it easier for all of the independent booksellers across the country to do business with us," beginning in fall 2005, McGraw-Hill will offer booksellers a free freight option on all products, excluding textbook products distributed by the publisher's Higher Ed and School divisions, said Keith Fox, president of McGraw-Hill Professional, via e-mail. The free freight option is just one of the new terms that the publisher will be offering in the fall. The others include a new co-op advertising program and a back-to-school offer.

After 15 years of owning and running the thriving R.J. Julia Booksellers, in Madison, Connecticut, starting July 1, Roxanne Coady will oversee management of the three-year-old Elm Street Books in New Canaan, Connecticut, with an option to buy. Lance Fensterman, formerly of Bound to be Read in St. Paul, Minnesota, was hired as the new store manager. "I'm thrilled about it," said Coady, who had worked with Elm Street previously as a consultant.
