Independent Bookstore Day Catalog Now Live; Orders Due February 3

The official 2020 Independent Bookstore Day catalog is now available at indiebookstoreday.com. The catalog features exclusive, literary-themed merchandise and giveaways for booksellers to showcase on Independent Bookstore Day 2020 (IBD), Saturday, April 25. Stores have until Monday, February 3, to place their orders.

Exclusive items this year come from Amor Towles, Ottessa Moshfegh, Jon Klassen, Dav Pilkey, Shea Serrano, and others. Bookstore Day shirts and tote bags are also available for ordering.

At this month’s Winter Institute in Baltimore (January 21–24), booksellers can preview some items from the IBD catalog and have all their questions answered at the Independent Bookstore Day table at the Consultation Station.

Booksellers can also attend the Independent Bookstore Day panel session on Friday, January 24, from 3:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. in the University Ballroom at the Marriott. Attendees will learn:

• How to order and make the most of the IBD exclusive merchandise
• How to throw a party that will get people into your store
• How to publicize your store’s party
• How to take advantage of social media
