The deadline to register for ABA’s Meet the Editor and One-on-One Publisher meetings is Monday, May 12. The Meet the Editor Meetings are open to all staff at ABA member stores; the One-on-One Publisher Meetings are open exclusively to owners and managers.

The results of balloting by the bookstore members of the American Booksellers Association to elect three directors to serve three-year terms on the ABA Board (2014–2017) are now official.

Videos from three ABC Children’s Institute education sessions are now available to all ABA member booksellers with a BookWeb username and password: Graduate Level Education on Child Development & Literacy; Selling Picture Books in the Wake of Age Compression; and Managing Successful Book Fairs In-Store and Off-Site.

Urban Expositions, which manages and produces gift shows throughout the year in locations around the country, is inviting booksellers to attend its upcoming gift shows free of charge. Online registration is now open for seven shows in July and August.

The American Specialty Toy Retailing Association is inviting ABA members to attend the upcoming ASTRA Marketplace at the Phoenix Convention Center for free. The exhibit floor, offering a carefully curated selection of toys from hundreds of manufacturers, will be open on Monday, June 9, and Tuesday, June 10.
