Amidst the COVID-19 health crisis, the ABC Children’s Group has opted to produce this year’s catalog as a digital version, which will be available for stores to download in October. 

“Once it ended, I had so many authors and readers reach out to ask how they could help and get involved. Having so many stellar YA authors involved definitely piqued folks’ interest,” said Fitzgerald. 

“Rebecca Stead masterfully captures the voice of middle-schooler Bea, who struggles with anxiety and doesn’t always handle her emotions without some kind drama,” said Lisa Nagel of Eight Cousins in Falmouth, Massachusetts. 

The scholarships cover the conference fee, a four-night stay at the host hotel, and up to $400 in travel expenses to the June 22–24 event in Tucson, Arizona.
