On March 18, ABA announced that Oren J. Teicher, who has been ABA’s CEO since 2009, has said that he will be retiring at the end of the year.

The membership year expired on January 31; stores have until Friday, March 15, to complete their renewal form and remain a member of ABA’s community of independent bookstores.

A ballot for the 2019 Board elections will be sent to ABA members via e-mail at the beginning of April; the deadline for return of the ballots will be April 30.
