ABA 101 is a new series aimed to introduce booksellers to the basics of the American Booksellers Association’s operations, beginning with a list of some of the important terms ABA members might come across in our communications.

This month, the American Booksellers Association is asking booksellers to take part in several important membership matters, each requiring just a couple of minutes to complete.

This gathering combines the monthly BIPOC Coffee Break with the quarterly BIPOC forum so that booksellers can share ideas for future Coffee Breaks; needs for ABA services, programming, and support in general; and questions.

ABA will continue hosting virtual Coffee Break events for member booksellers who would like to connect and talk with their colleagues from across the country.

Members of the DEIC are appointed by ABA staff with recommendations from the current DEIC committee and nominations from members. Booksellers can also self-nominate for the committee.
