Bestseller Reporting: Easy, Confidential & a Big Return
The Indie Bestseller Lists are the most current snapshot of what’s selling at independent bookstores nationwide. It’s crucial, however, for as many ABA members as possible to report each week to showcase the strength of the indie channel in the publishing industry and to ensure everyone can see what independent booksellers are recommending — and what their customers are buying.
National hardcover, paperback, and children’s lists are produced in HTML, PDF, and Word formats and distributed weekly to bookstores, publishers, and media outlets around the country. Now, to provide even more options for booksellers’ marketing efforts, beginning this week, national fiction and nonfiction lists featuring hardcover and paperback bestsellers will be created in PDF and Word format.
What are some of the other reasons for reporting to the Indie Bestseller List?
-
To receive customized demographics reports about what is selling in your area (when reporting via BookScan)
-
To ensure a more robust monthly White Box mailing of publisher-sponsored ARCs and galleys
- To create indie bookstore buzz in-store, in print, and online
Reporting is easy and confidential.
