On May 23, the American Booksellers Association will present “Hosting Community Writing Contests/Creating Original Content,” the second in a series of three Marketing Meetups focusing on topics related to IngramSpark, the print-on-demand book publishing service and e-book distribution tool.

During the Marketing Meetup on Thursday, May 23, at 11:00 a.m. EDT, booksellers will discuss how to engage with their local writing communities, create high margin titles to sell in-store, and develop bookstore-branded products.

Guest speakers for this upcoming marketing meetup will be Josh Floyd, manager of business development for IngramSpark; Nicole Magistro of The Bookworm of Edwards in Edwards, Colorado; and Kimberly Daniels from The Country Bookshop in Southern Pines, North Carolina.

All booksellers are invited to participate in these bookseller-led educational conversations, which are conducted through Zoom.us and held at 11:00 a.m. EST on two Thursdays a month. Those who would like to participate can sign up on BookWeb.org.

Following the live Marketing Meetup at this year’s BookExpo on Thursday, May 30, in New York City, the next regularly scheduled online Marketing Meetup will be held on June 6 and cover best practices for marketing sidelines. Watch Bookselling This Week for more news about upcoming Marketing Meetups.
