September Workshop for New Bookstore Owners

For those who are preparing to open a bookstore and those who have just opened their doors, The Bookstore Training Group of Paz & Associates is offering its final workshop retreat of the year. “Managing for Love & Profit” will be held from Monday, September 9, through Thursday, September 12, on Amelia Island, Florida.

The program will focus on how to refine competitive advantages; design elements to create a special sense of place; professional retail buying strategies; utilizing bookstore computer systems to their full capacity; and effective marketing strategies to build sales and create customer loyalty.

The workshop, co-sponsored by the American Booksellers Association, will be facilitated by Donna Paz Kaufman and Mark Kaufman and will feature guest booksellers and vendor trainers, who will share their frontline expertise. ABA members are eligible for discounted tuition.
