Publishers Invite Booksellers to Receptions at Hotel ABA

From Wednesday, May 17, through Friday, May 19, ABA member booksellers are invited to evening receptions sponsored by Book Sense Publisher Partners at Hotel ABA, the Doubletree Crystal City. The receptions will run from 9:00 p.m. until midnight each night.

On Wednesday, a cocktail reception will be hosted by Rodale Books in the Crystal Ballroom, and on Thursday a Random House reception will be held in Windows Over Washington/Potomac View Room.

On Friday, Simon & Schuster Children's Publishing will host a reception in the Doubletree's Wilson and Harrison rooms that will be based on the October 2006 release of Peter Pan in Scarlet by Geraldine McCaughrean, illustrated by Brian Froud (Margaret K. McElderry Books). BEA attendees are invited to the reception, where "Neverland [will] cast its spell..."

A shuttle bus will bring booksellers from the Hotel ABA's sister hotel, the Hilton Crystal City, to the Doubletree and back during the three events.
