March Workshop Features the Essentials of Opening a Bookstore

Registration is now open for the weeklong workshop, "Opening a Bookstore: The Business Essentials," which will be held on Amelia Island, Florida, from Monday, March 19, to Friday, March 23, 2007. The comprehensive workshop is given by Donna Paz Kaufman and Mark Kaufman of the Bookstore Training and Consulting Group of Paz & Associates and is co-sponsored by ABA.

The program is designed for those interested in investing in a bookstore and are aware that a competitive marketplace demands adequate training and education. Topics covered include: complete information on defining and marketing advantages; understanding financial dynamics; store design and merchandising; selecting a computerized management system; and selecting an opening inventory.
