Libro.fm Celebrates #VirtualBookstoreParty
While Independent Bookstore Day is postponed until August, book lovers showed up online for the #VirtualBookstoreParty last week, which culminated on Saturday, April 25.
Libro.fm urged customers to join as members with a two-for-one offer that directed 100 percent of the purchase price ($14.99) to local bookstores. To date, this membership promotion has raised $98,079 for local bookstores. Customers also showed their support for booksellers by purchasing #SocksforBinc. With 3,000+ pairs of socks sold, Libro.fm has raised over $22,000 for the Book Industry Charitable Foundation (Binc) so far. The promotion ends Sunday, May 3.
On Saturday, the last day of the celebrations, all Libro.fm users (members and non-members) were able to collect two free audiobooks, On Cats by Charles Bukowski and Wanderlust, USA by Flula Borg.
