Just Announced: Google Analytics Webinar

Booksellers excited by the possibilities of Google Analytics but intimidated by its graphs and charts are encouraged to register now for the April 7 IndieCommerce webinar, hosted by IndieCommerce consultant Matt Supko. The webinar will consist of a detailed tour of Google Analytics, including how to identify where a store’s site traffic is coming from; which pages on the site are most popular; and what kind of devices customers are using to view the website. Additionally, the webinar will explain how to investigate which traffic sources are delivering sales and which aren’t. Valuable insights are a few clicks away.

Sign up today for the Google Analytics Webinar. Space is limited.

There are no open webinar sessions this week (March 28) or next week (April 4) due to the Google Analytics webinar.

IndieCommerce Institute Advanced Seminar Filling Up

There are still a few openings available for the Advanced Seminar at the 2016 IndieCommerce Institute, to be held at Chicago’s Drake Hotel on May 10, just prior to BookExpo America. The Advanced Seminar will offer an informal setting in which participants will learn directly from their colleagues as they provide critiques of each other’s websites. Before the institute, seminar attendees will be required to spend a significant amount of time reviewing their peers’ websites and writing critiques.

More information and registration for both the Advanced Seminar and Main Session are available here.

New Features Go Live

Two new features are available to IndieCommerce stores:

  • “Alt Tags” have been added to all book cover images from Ingram. The tags will help store websites comply with requirements of the Americans With Disabilities Act. These tags may also have the added benefit of pushing store listings up in Google Images search results.
  • It is now easier to post book cover photos on Facebook: Add the URL for any book “product page” and the cover image for the book will post as well. This is also working on Pinterest. If a book cover doesn’t appear, stores should contact the IndieCommerce team.
