Idea Exchange This Week: A New Education Forum

Printer-friendly versionPrinter-friendly version

Booksellers visiting BookWeb's Idea Exchange this week will note the addition of a new Education Forum, which is designed to provide ABA member booksellers with an opportunity to learn and share thoughts and experiences, ask questions, and offer suggestions and tips on the material presented in ABA's various education programs, including "The 2% Solution." This forum is intended for bookseller-to-bookseller interaction, though ABA staff will moderate the postings and respond to questions when appropriate.

This week's discussions in the Bookseller-to-Bookseller Forum included:

  • Finding a version of Romeo and Juliet with a parallel text
  • Switching inventory systems
  • How to handle a store move

Booksellers are also reminded that the "Ask ABA" Forum provides an opportunity to ask questions or direct comments to the ABA Board and staff; the "Ask BookSense.com" forum is the place to ask questions of the BookSense.com staff, as well as to discuss concerns and to find out how other booksellers are using the e-commerce site; and the Inventory Control Forum is place for discussion about available systems.

Forums are open to ABA bookstore and provisional members only. (Booksellers who do not already have a BookWeb Account will need to create one.)
