Getting the Word Out: No Strings Attached to Book Sense Gift Cards

With the holiday shopping season now in full swing, and gift card popularity on the rise, more and more consumers are planning to buy gift cards for family members and friends. With many media reports warning potential patrons of gift card "fees," "inactivity fees," and "expiration dates," participants in the Book Sense Gift Card Program should be sure their customers understand that Book Sense gift cards carry no expiration dates or fees.

To help gift card program participants bring that message home to consumers, Book Sense has created a downloadable flyer in PDF format stating: "Can't Decide? Give a Book Sense Gift Card. No expiration date. No inactivity fees. No hidden costs. Book Sense Gift Cards available here and at participating bookstores and Web sites with Book Sense across the country."

Booksellers can choose from two different flier styles by simply going to www.bookweb.org/read/6649 and clicking on "Promotional flyer." In addition, on the same page, Book Sense Gift Card Program participants can choose from three different gift card shelf-talkers.
