Warner Books Becomes Grand Central Publishing

On March 26, Warner Books Senior Vice President and Publisher Jamie Raab announced that Warner Books, part of Hachette Book Group USA, was renamed Grand Central Publishing. The name change happened a month before the publisher's move to new headquarters at 237 Park Avenue, near New York's Grand Central Station. When the Time Warner Book Group was sold to the France's Hachette Livre last year, one of the terms of sale stipulated that Warner Books must change its name.

Grand Central Publishing's first list will be this fall. Among the titles to be published under the new name are The Choice by Nicholas Sparks, Celebrity Detox by Rosie O'Donnell, and I Am America (And So Can You!) by Stephen Colbert. The company will launch a new imprint, Twelve, headed by Jonathan Karp, this spring.
