And the Winner Is…
Congratulations to Larry Law of Anderson’s Bookshop in Naperville, Illinois, the winner of the grand prize of $150 in the American Booksellers Association’s 2015 Winter Institute T-shirt design contest. Law’s design featuring landmarks and other symbols from a decade of Winter Institute host cities was the top vote-getter in balloting by ABA member booksellers over the last several weeks.
The other design contest finalists were:
- Carolyn Anbar of Watchung Booksellers in Montclair, New Jersey (Talk about books)
- Chad Kuntz of Auntie’s Bookstore in Spokane, Washington (Asheville/snowflake)
- Shelly Walston, Watermark Books & Cafe in Wichita, Kansas (Purple shield)
Law’s winning design will be featured on T-shirts for volunteers and select guests at Winter Institute 2015, which will be held at the Grove Park Inn in Asheville, North Carolina, from February 8 – 11. A limited number of T-shirts will be sold at the event.
For those interested in creating their own merchandise, all four designs will be uploaded to Redbubble.
