This week, Publishers Lunch launched Buzz Books 2014: Spring/Summer, an e-book featuring excerpts from 40 highly anticipated books set for publication between March and August. Ten of the volume’s featured authors will be at next week’s Winter Institute, including Stacy D’Erasmo, Barbara Ehrenreich, Greg Iles, Ben Mezrich, and Chris Weitz.

Buzz Books highlights new books from established authors such as Jojo Moyes and Edward St. Aubyn; praised young novelists with fresh new titles, including Girl in Translation’s Lily Kwok and Seating Arrangements’ Maggie Shipstead; highly anticipated debuts such as Laline Paull’s The Bees and Marie-Helene Bertino’s 2 A.M. at The Cat’s Pajamas; and high-profile nonfiction from the likes of Biz Stone, Sam Kean, and Nina Stibbe.

This season’s edition also offers a large selection of YA novels, from Sally Green’s internationally acclaimed Half Bad, to new work from Lemony Snicket and Ann Brashares.

The Buzz Books download is free and available in trade and consumer editions. To make it easier to keep track of the upcoming titles, Publishers Lunch has created a new, easy-to-share Buzz Books website.

The consumer edition of Buzz Books is available from many e-book retailers, including Kobo.

The trade edition includes detailed marketing and rights information on each title, along with click-throughs to read –– or request –– full digital galleys. It is available as EPUB download, or from NetGalley. New this season, the file can also be found in the “Review Copies” section on Edelweiss.
