ABA partnered with Hummingbird in 2018 for e-book sales. The free, turnkey e-book and audiobook retailing platform allows bookstores to have their own branded and customizable storefront.

During the online conversation, Josh Mettee of Hummingbird Digital Media and Dave Lucey of Page 158 Books talked about the free e-book and audiobook retailing platform.

The Hummingbird platform integrates with ABA’s IndieCommerce and IndieLite programs by automatically supplying a “Buy the e-book” button next to the “Buy the Book” button on the bookstore’s title pages.

Stores will now use unique discount codes to purchase devices at the same discount and with the same affiliation terms as before.

Kobo has announced the newest addition to its lineup of eReaders, the Kobo Aura H2O, an updated version of the company’s waterproof eReader.

Kobo is offering a new eBook promotion in partnership with Kensington; it has also announced that the Kobo Aura ONE will be available at the end of January.

Stores selling Kobo eBooks should take note of several new and upcoming content price promotions.

On August 17, Kobo announced the release of two new eReaders: the Kobo Aura ONE and the Kobo Aura Edition 2, which will be available starting September 6.

Kobo is offering a special price on the Glo HD eReader from June 30 through July 17, 2016.
