A perennial BookExpo favorite, the Silent Auction will donate proceeds from the Wednesday, May 29, event to the American Booksellers for Free Expression and Every Child a Reader.

Booksellers should visit BookWeb.org to sign up or buy tickets for Meet the Editor, Publicists Speed Dating, the Children’s Book Art Silent Auction, the ABC/CBC Speed Dating Tea, and more.

Booksellers are encouraged to sign up for one-on-ones with members of ABA’s IndieCommerce team, open to current IndieCommerce and IndieLite members as well as to non-members.

Attending booksellers will meet with groups of editors from participating publishers in one of two shifts to talk about their newest books.

BookExpo can be both exciting and overwhelming. For booksellers who have never attended or those who want to maximize their time at the show, here’s a checklist to help you draft a plan of action.

Through the new BookExpo Bestsellers Grant Program, indie bookseller winners will receive $1,000 for travel, accommodations, and other expenses incurred during their stay in New York City.

Booksellers have a number of opportunities to meet authors, collect signed books, discover non-book items, network with editors and publicists, and explore new and upcoming titles at this year’s event.
