Erin Matthews, the owner of Books With a Past, a new and used bookstore in Glenwood, Maryland, will open a second location on Thanksgiving weekend. The new store will be in Savage, Maryland.

Arizona’s Antigone Books and New Hampshire’s MainStreet BookEnds have each reaped the benefits since switching to solar-powered electrical systems in 2011.

Village Books & Paper Dreams’ second location is slated to open on Friday, November 20, in Lynden, Washington. But, said store co-owner Chuck Robinson, “it’s going to require quite a few things to dovetail for it all to come together.”
