Detriot Public Television’s (DPTV) live stream coverage of the 31st Miami Book Fair International will be available for broadcast on bookstore websites from 4:00 to 9:00 p.m. on Friday, November 21; noon to 6:00 p.m. on Saturday, November 22; and noon to 6:00 p.m. on Sunday, November 23.

Friday’s coverage will be highlighted by conversations with National Book Award winners Phil Klay and Evan Osnos, as well as several of this year’s finalists. The three days of coverage will also include appearances by Richard Ford, Norman Lear, Judy Blume, Walter Isaacson, actor Jason Segel, director John Waters, Emma Straub, Questlove, and poet Mark Strand. For the complete schedule, visit PBS’ Book View Now. Booksellers can share DPTV's coverage with customers by embedding an online video player on their store sites. Select segments will also be recorded during the fair and will be available on demand.

To feature either the Live Stream or On-Demand Player With Tabbed Playlist on a store website, booksellers will need to copy the appropriate player code, provided in the Word file here, and to paste it into the source code of their chosen web page or block. When adding the code to a page or block, IndieCommerce users will need to first select “Rich Text Editing” from the Text format menu beneath the Body (or Block body) field, and then click the “Switch to plain text editor” link before pasting in the code for the player.

DPTV’s coverage of the fair will also be live-streamed on IndieBound.org and will be broadcast for the first time through PBS.org, PBS station websites, and WORLD Channel.

On-demand coverage will be available to bookstores, on PBS.org, PBS station websites, and all PBS video apps, including those for iPhone, iPad, Xbox, Roku and Apple TV, as well as on YouTube. Additional 30-minute highlights of the fair will be broadcast on WORLD Channel at 6:30 p.m. on November 22, 23, and 24. Read more.
