Winter Institute Sponsor List Now Complete

Printer-friendly versionPrinter-friendly version

The 2012 Winter Institute in New Orleans is made possible by the overall support of the Ingram Content Group, Wi7’s lead sponsor, and the support of more than 40 large and small publishers.

With the recent addition of two publishers — MP Publishing and Harlequin — at the Shared level and a move by Egmont USA from the Shared to the Full level, Winter Institute 7 sponsorship is now complete.

ABA encourages all of its members to join in thanking these sponsors for their continuing support of independent bookselling:

The winners of publisher-sponsored scholarships to the Winter Institute will be announced in Bookselling This Week on November 17. Scholarships will cover the Wi7 meal fee, up to a four-night stay at the host hotel, the Astor Crowne Plaza in New Orleans’ French Quarter, and travel expenses up to $350. Wi7 scholarship winners will be selected from all ABA bookstore members; booksellers who dropped off a business card at the ABA booth at any of the regional trade shows have an extra entry in the scholarship awards process. Previous scholarship winners are not eligible.

Winter Institute registration is booked to capacity, but ABA member booksellers can add their names to a waiting list here. Registered booksellers who have not yet made their hotel reservations are encouraged to do so immediately as the ABA room block is now almost totally sold out. Wi7 registrants have until tomorrow, Friday, October 28, to book a room at the special member rate unless the ABA room block sells out even sooner. (A special rate code and link to the hotel web page were provided in the e-mail confirming event registration.)

Full Wi7 program details are available at wi7.bookweb.org. Booksellers are encouraged to check back often as information is being updated on an ongoing basis.
