The American Booksellers Association’s Sixth Annual Winter Institute, to be held from Wednesday, January 19, through Friday, January 21, in Washington, D.C., features more than 30 education sessions for booksellers at all levels of experience, as well as an array of special events. Among these are receptions at the close of each day, where booksellers are invited to come together to socialize and unwind.

The Wi6 schedule includes an opening reception on January 18 at the renowned Politics & Prose; a Legislative Day reception, co-sponsored by the Center for the Book, at the Library of Congress, on January 19; an Emerging Leaders reception, sponsored by Workman, also on the 19th; the ever-popular author reception on January 20; and a closing reception, featuring authors from small and independent presses, on the 21st.

The Winter Institute – sponsored by the Ingram Content Group – will be at the Crystal Gateway Marriott in Arlington, Virginia, just outside of Washington, D.C. Registration for the educational event, which is open exclusively to ABA bookstore and provisional members, is underway now.
