Wanted: Creative Events & Marketing Ideas for Graphic Novels

The American Booksellers Association would like to hear from members who have hosted creative and fun events to promote graphic novels and comics -- including book clubs, comic slams, mini comic conventions, or similar events. Booksellers' input will help guide ABA's Education Department staff as they formulate content for the Fourth Annual Winter Institute's session "Creative Graphic Novel Events and Marketing."

The session, aimed at events coordinators, frontline booksellers, and others involved in marketing a store's graphic novels/comics section, will be held from 10:15 a.m. - 11:45 a.m. on Friday, January 30, at the Winter Institute host hotel, the Salt Lake Marriott Downtown.
