On Tuesday, October 26, author Sue Miller chose Brian Morton's A Window Across the River (Harcourt, $13) as the next title to be read by NBC Today Show's Today Book Club. Miller and Morton discussed the selection, which explores the balance between romance and creative temperament.

Morton's previous work includes two titles from Berkley, Starting Out in the Evening and The Dylanist.

Miller is the author of While I Was Gone (Ballantine), The Good Mother (Perennial), Inventing the Abbotts (Perennial), Family Pictures (Perennial), For Love (Perennial), The Distinguished Guest (Perennial), and The Story of My Father (Random House), a work of nonfiction dealing with her father's death from Alzheimer's disease.
