A Timely Reminder

There is still time to nominate titles for the November Book Sense Picks and the Book Sense Fall History Top Ten. The deadline for both lists is Friday, September 3.

It would be great to take our bookseller participation to the next level, and it’s not difficult to nominate titles. Simply send an e-mail to Book Sense Picks Editor-in-Chief Dan Cullen at [email protected] and describe, in a few sentences, why you are excited about a recent fiction or nonfiction title. (You can also use the convenient Web nomination form at http://www.bookweb.org/read/6305.)

The October Picks list is very strong (thanks to all those nominations!), and, given the number of interesting titles being published this fall, with enough independent bookseller input, the November Picks list could be equally strong.

The focus of the Fall History Top Ten list this year is "Politics, Pundits, and the Presidential Race." Please send your picks for the best of the recent crop of titles on all things presidential and the contemporary political scene. Titles can be either hardcover or paperback.
