Susan Weis-Bohlen in India

Susan Weis-Bohlen, owner of breathe books, in Baltimore, Maryland, will lead a yoga class at ABA’s Sixth Annual Winter Institute. All Wi6 participants are invited to join the class, to be held in the Jackson Room (lobby level) of the Crystal Gateway Marriott from 6:45 a.m. - 7:30 a.m., on Thursday and Friday.

Weis-Bohlen, a practitioner of yoga and meditation for almost 20 years and a Chopra Center certified instructor of Ayurveda, is happy to share her knowledge with fellow booksellers.

“The practice of yoga at the Winter Institute is a wonderful way to wake up and prepare yourself for intense days of learning (and sitting!) and networking,” she said. “Beginning the day by focusing the mind through movement, breath work, and meditation, will help us all get the maximum benefits from Wi6.”

Weis-Bohlen has structured the class for all levels – from novice to experienced practitioner.

“I’ll gently guide you through several asanas (postures) to create greater awareness and to wake up our minds and bodies,” she said. “We’ll end with a short meditation which will also help us with concentration throughout the day.”

Participants are encouraged to wear comfortable clothes and to bring their own mats and towels. There will be time after class to change for breakfast.
