Thirty-seven publishers are currently offering special terms for ABA member booksellers in support of this year’s Indies First on Small Business Saturday, the shop-local event that brings together authors, readers, and publishers to celebrate independent bookstores on November 24.

Indies FirstThese publisher specials on books and exclusives are available between now and January 2019 as part of the sixth annual Indies First celebration. Both traditional publishers and close to a dozen university presses are offering terms to be applied to a variety of frontlist and backlist titles.

All publisher terms are listed on a downloadable Excel spreadsheet, which will continue to be updated as new offers come in. Booksellers can use the promotional codes listed on the spreadsheet, which is accessible from the ABA Book Buyer’s Handbook and from the Indies First homepage on BookWeb.org.

“We love the special terms and it’s good for our bottom line when we get behind a book,” said Bill Reilly, co-owner of the river’s end bookstore in Oswego, New York.

ABA bookstore members will need a username and password to access the spreadsheet; e-mail [email protected] for login information.
