Polar Express Prize Pack Drawing Approaches

Printer-friendly versionPrinter-friendly version

Booksellers who wish to be part of the random drawing to win the Polar Express prize pack must send the Polar Express Prize Pack Bookstore Entry Form to Associate Book Sense Marketing Director Meg Smith for receipt by January 12.

The prize pack drawing is the culmination of The Polar Express Ride for Reading, a national marketing campaign developed by Houghton Mifflin and Book Sense, which began raising funds for the children's literacy organization First Book in October 2004 in conjunction with the release of the Warner Brothers' animated adaptation of Chris Van Allsburg's classic Christmas tale, The Polar Express (Houghton Mifflin). One participating Book Sense store will receive the prize pack, which includes movie passes, a signed Van Allsburg library, and a signed movie poster.

The entry form, which was sent to Book Sense stores in the September Red Box, should be sent to Smith's attention at ABA, 828 S. Broadway, Tarrytown, New York 10591. Booksellers are also encouraged to include photos of their Polar Express event or party. Digital pictures, and questions, should be sent via e-mail to [email protected].
