Olsson's to Welcome BEA to the Neighborhood

Olsson's Books & Records, which has five stores in the Washington, D.C. area, has special events planned for BookExpo America attendees. At the Lansburgh/Penn Quarter store, just a few short blocks from the Washington Convention Center, Olsson's, The Perseus Books Group, and Capital Books will host a reception with light refreshments and drinks on Thursday, May 18, from 7:00 to 9:00 p.m.

The Lansburgh/Penn Quarter store is located at 418 Seventh Street N.W., between D and E Streets N.W. Those planning to attend are asked to contact Anita Perala at Perseus ([email protected]) or Jean Westcott at Capital Books ([email protected]).

On Saturday, May 20, from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., Olsson's, Joseph Henry Press, and the Library of Congress Publishing Office are hosting A Happy Hour with complimentary drinks and finger foods and featuring the musical stylings of XM Radio's DJ Neville Chamberlain at The Warehouse Next Door -- described by the Washington Post as "an avant-garde Kennedy Center."
