A Notable Change

Beginning with the March selections, the additional 20 titles chosen in the Book Sense Picks program will now be designated "Book Sense Notables." Formerly, announced under the heading "We Also Recommend...." the 20 Book Sense Notables titles will still be available each month to booksellers in a downloadable PDF flier designed to complement the monthly, printed Book Sense Picks fliers.

The change was made to help increase consumer awareness of the additional 20 titles and to avoid any possible confusion with the titles on the weekly Book Sense Bestsellers lists that are highlighted with the designation "May We Recommend." The new designation will also give publishers greater ability to highlight their titles in consumer advertising.

In addition, starting with the March Book Sense Picks flier, all 20 Book Sense Notables will be included in the flier with full bibliographic information. The March fliers will be coming to booksellers in the February Red Box.
