Mark Your Calendars: The Fall Trade Show Schedule

The regional trade show season will begin in less than two months, with the first show kicking off on September 7 in Naples, Florida. Here’s a look at this fall’s schedule, which includes a combined GLIBA/MIBA show.

• Heartland Fall Forum: Hosted by the Great Lakes Independent Booksellers Association and the Midwest Independent Booksellers Association
  October 3 - 5, 2012, at The Depot in Minneapolis, Minnesota
   
• Mountains & Plains Independent Booksellers Association Trade Show
  September 20 - 22, 2012, at the Renaissance Denver Hotel in Denver, Colorado

•  New Atlantic Independent Booksellers Association Fall Conference
  September 28 - 30, 2012, at the Hyatt Regency Crystal City at Ronald Reagan Washington National Airport
   
• New England Independent Booksellers Association Fall Conference
  October 3 - 5, 2012, at the Rhode Island Convention Center in Providence, Rhode Island
   
• Northern California Independent Booksellers Association Trade Show
  October 11 - 12, 2012, at the South San Francisco Conference Center in South San Francisco, California
   
• Pacific Northwest Booksellers Association Fall Show
  October 13 - 15, 2012, at the Hotel Murano in Tacoma, Washington
   
• Southern California Independent Booksellers Association Authors Feast & Trade Show
  October 20, 2012, on the Queen Mary in Long Beach, California
   
• Southern Independent Booksellers Alliance Trade Show
  September 7 - 9, 2012, at the Naples Grande Beach Resort in Naples, Florida

Also in the fall, the American Booksellers Association will be offering two specialty institutes:

• An IndieCommerce Specialty Institute on Thursday, September 13, in White Plains, New York, with an opportunity to schedule a one-on-one session for the 12th or the 14th; and,
   
• An Events Specialty Institute on Wednesday, October 3, at The Depot in Minneapolis, Minnesota, with an opening reception on the evening of the 2nd

And looking down the road to 2013:

• Winter Institute 8 will be held in Kansas City, Missouri, from February 23 - 25, 2013, with an opening reception on the evening of the 22nd
   
• BookExpo America will be back in New York City, from May 30 - June 1, 2013
