C-SPAN’s BookTV was busy at this year’s BookExpo America, held at the Jacob K. Javits Convention Center in New York City from May 1-5.

The show’s coverage featured live broadcasts of the three Book & Author Breakfasts, bringing the talks delivered by such authors as Al and Tipper Gore, Kate DiCamillo, and Pat Conroy into America’s living rooms. BookTV also aired a four-hour program of highlights from BEA at 8:00 a.m. and 8:00 p.m. on Sunday, May 5, and at 4:00 a.m. on Monday, May 6. The highlights included coverage of the Book & Author Breakfasts, former New York City mayor Rudolph W. Guiliani's opening night speech, and a number of the interviews and signings.
