Life After the Holidays: Nominate Now

There will be two Book Sense Picks deadlines during the first weeks of December.

Friday, December 1, is the deadline for nominations for the February Book Sense Picks list, and the deadline for the Valentine's List is December 8.

"We completely understand the press of daily business affairs and the hectic pace of store operations during the holiday season," said Book Sense Picks Editor-in-Chief Dan Cullen. "And that makes us even more grateful for the nominations for 2007 titles that we are receiving for the new Picks lists.

"If you can spare just a moment, please send us a nomination for a title or titles that you are looking forward to handselling to your customers in the new year. And, please know that the entire Book Sense team send its thanks."

Nominations may be sent via an easy-to-use online nomination form or by including them in an e-mail to [email protected], with the word "Picks" in the subject line.

The annual Book Sense Valentine's Day Top Ten is compiled by Book Sense in conjunction with the Association of American Publishers' (AAP) Get Caught Reading initiative, and it is part of a series of seasonal Top Ten lists that Book Sense and AAP produce each year based on the nominations of independent booksellers nationwide. Titles nominated may be either adult or children's books, and either hardcover or paperback.
