To be entered into a drawing for free hotel nights at Hotel ABA (the Grand Hyatt New York) for BookExpo America 2014, ABA member booksellers must book their rooms by midnight EDT on Monday, April 7.

Single and double rooms at the Grand Hyatt are available at the special nightly rate of $265, plus tax (currently 14.75 percent New York State and City tax per room per night) and a $3.50 per night occupancy fee for stays from Monday, May 26, through Sunday, June 1, 2014.

Every ABA member store that makes a reservation at the Grand Hyatt by April 7 will have a chance of winning one of 56 prizes, courtesy of BEA. The odds of winning in the random drawing are high, but only one winner per bookstore member is allowed. The winners will be notified by Thursday, April 10.

Prizes include:

  • 1 grand prize of four free hotel nights (room and tax)
  • 5 second place prizes of three free hotel nights (room and tax)
  • 15 third place prizes of two free hotel nights (room and tax)
  • 35 fourth place prizes of one free hotel night (room and tax)

In addition, booksellers staying at the Grand Hyatt can look forward to receiving a Welcome Bag filled with advance reading copies of some of the hottest books of the show. The hotel will also be the site of parties exclusively for ABA members.

The Grand Hyatt New York is located at 42nd Street and Grand Central Terminal in Manhattan; BEA will provide shuttle buses from the hotel to the Javits Convention Center and back.

To receive free badges to the trade show, booksellers must register as ABA members via the BEA website and provide an ABA member ID number. (Booksellers who need their ABA ID number should contact ABA’s Member Relationship Managers.)

BEA Conference Day, ABA programming, and the Remainders and Gift pavilions will open on Wednesday, May 28. The full trade show floor will be open Thursday, May 29, through Saturday, May 31.

Register for BEA here. Then make a reservation at Hotel ABA.
