Following last week’s announcement that BookExpo and BookCon will not take place this year, the American Booksellers Association is encouraging booksellers to review their hotel reservations and make cancellations as necessary.

Booksellers who reserved a room at The New Yorker via the provided link on the ABA website do not need to take any action; Connections Housing has already canceled those reservations.

Booksellers who reserved a room at The New Yorker outside the ABA room block, or those who reserved rooms via a third-party reservation service, will need to cancel their reservations themselves.

On Tuesday, April 14, ReedPop announced that due to the escalation of COVID-19 globally, the 2020 BookExpo, UnBound, and BookCon events will now take place in the spring of 2021. The events were previously postponed from their original May dates to late July.
