The American Booksellers Association will reprise its very popular Hotel ABA, in conjunction with BookExpo America 2007 in New York City, at a location in downtown Brooklyn, close to the Brooklyn Bridge.

"We're delighted to announce that ABA has been able to secure great accommodations at a very favorable price for our members who are planning to attend the Thursday Day of Education and BookExpo America 2007," said the association's COO, Oren Teicher. "Brooklyn is a borough steeped in literary tradition, with much to offer independent booksellers. We'll be planning a number of events that take full advantage of this storied locale."

Teicher noted that Hotel ABA's move to Brooklyn was motivated by a steep increase in New York City hotel rates that put the best available price in midtown Manhattan at twice that of previous Hotel ABAs.

As in the past several years, the hotel will feature a package of amenities exclusively for member booksellers, including special receptions, a welcome desk, ARCs, and more.
