Booksellers looking to find out more about how the Affordable Care Act will affect their businesses are encouraged to sign up for a free healthcare reform webinar hosted by the Small Business Majority and the American Booksellers Association.

The webinar “Your Bottom Line: What Healthcare Reform Means for Your Small Business” will be held on Tuesday, March 26, at 2:30 p.m. EDT and is open to ABA bookseller members. The hour-long event aims to help booksellers make the most of the small-business provisions in the Affordable Care Act.

The health care webinar will be presented by Erica Dowell, the Southern outreach manager, for the Small Business Majority. Dowell is responsible for reaching out to small businesses in the area through listening tours, webinars, and panel discussions concerning the healthcare law, clean energy, and other business issues.  The webinar will be hosted by David Grogan, senior public policy analyst for ABA.

Topics that will be covered in the webinar include:

  • Small business tax credits (available to businesses and tax-exempt nonprofits) — who is eligible for them and how to claim them
  • National health insurance exchange overview
  • Shared responsibility
  • Cost containment
  • Tools and resources available for small businesses interested in learning more about the law

A question and answer period will follow.

Registration for the webinar is required and is now open. Register here.
