February 'We Also Recommend' Now Available

The second component of the February Book Sense Picks selections -- the downloadable PDF flier of "We Also Recommend" titles -- is now available. The flier includes bibliographic information, jacket images, and booksellers' quotations. Titles on the February Book Sense Picks fliers, which were sent to stores with Book Sense in the January Red Box, can be reviewed at news.bookweb.org/read/3132.

Each month independent booksellers in the Book Sense program receive the printed flier of that month's Book Sense Picks in the Book Sense Red Box. In addition to the 20 titles that are featured in the fliers, the Book Sense Picks program selects 20 additional titles that are featured in a downloadable PDF file under the heading "We Also Recommend." These additional 20 titles are also featured in an electronic file of shelf-talkers for in-store use. (To access the shelf-talkers, click here.)

Looking ahead, Friday, February 4, is the deadline for the April Books Sense Picks and for the Book Sense Poetry Top Ten. And Friday, February 11 is the deadline for the Book Sense Spring History Top Ten. Nominations may be sent directly to Book Sense Picks Editor-in-Chief Dan Cullen at [email protected] or through the online Web nomination form at www.bookweb.org/read/6305. For the Poetry and History lists, both frontlist and backlist titles are welcome.
