Booksellers 40 and under are invited to an Emerging Leaders Cocktail Reception sponsored by Unbridled Books on Friday night, January 30, at ABA's Winter Institute.

"Unbridled Books is honored to sponsor this year's Emerging Leaders Cocktail Reception at the Winter Institute," said the company's sales director, Steven Wallace. "We are especially eager to offer this group of esteemed booksellers an early introduction to two of the fresh and uniquely talented voices from Unbridled Books' Spring List. Our bookseller guests will meet Emily St. John Mandel, author of Last Night In Montreal, and Eric Barnes, the author of Shimmer."

The Emerging Leaders Council will be at the event to answer questions about the Emerging Leaders Project, which seeks to provide ways for the next generation of booksellers to meet and brainstorm about the future of independent bookselling. The group is tailored, but not restricted, to booksellers (not bookstore owners) ages 40 and under, who plan on staying in the industry and show a passion for bookselling.

Unbridled Books, an independent press committed to discovering and nurturing new voices, is inviting all current and prospective Emerging Leaders to the reception. "We truly believe it is this group of forward-thinking booklovers who will push the concept of bookselling to the next level, bringing with them the hopes of all readers, writers, and publishers," said Wallace. "We can think of no better way to spend an evening than with our bookseller partners. We look forward to seeing you there."

The Emerging Leaders Cocktail Reception will be held from 9:00 p.m. to 11:00 p.m. on Friday, January 30, at the Salt Lake City Marriott Downtown's Deer Valley Rooms I & II.
