On Deck: ABA Forums in Missouri & Maine

On Saturday, April 16, the American Booksellers Association will hold its second spring Booksellers Forum and Education Program in conjunction with the Midwest Booksellers Association. All area independent booksellers are invited to attend the events, which will be held at the Brio Italian Restaurant in Kansas City, Missouri, from 10:00 a.m. - 3:00 p.m. This marks the first time ABA is bringing one of its forums/educational programs to Kansas City. Then on Wednesday, April 20, ABA will hold its second event of the season in conjunction with the New England Booksellers Association (NEBA). ABA's first-ever forum in Maine will be held at the Portland Public Library from 10:00 a.m. - 3:00 p.m. ABA is encouraging all area ABA and NEBA members -- storeowners and staff -- to attend the events, which include the education session "Renegotiating a Lease," an ABACUS Workshop, and an open forum discussion.
