Cast Your Ballot for ABA Officers & Directors

On Monday, March 30, an e-mail with a link to an electronic ballot for the election of a new president, vice president/secretary, and three directors to serve on the American Booksellers Association’s Board of Directors was sent to all main store members.

The ballot includes the names of officer and director candidates put forth by the Board and space for write-in candidates. The e-mail from ABA CEO Oren Teicher also includes a link to biographical information for the candidates whose names appear on the ballot.

Ballots must be cast by midnight EDT on April 30 to be counted.

The election results will be announced at the beginning of May, and the new Board members will be welcomed at the ABA Annual Membership Meeting to be held on Thursday, May 28, from 4:15 p.m. to 5:15 p.m., in conjunction with BookExpo America, at the Javits Convention Center in New York City. The meeting agenda will include the formal announcement of ABA’s election results, reports from the president and CEO, a membership and financial update, and the opportunity for members to bring old and/or new business to the attention of the Board of Directors.

Main store members that did not receive the e-mail from Teicher should check their spam folders. If the e-mail still cannot be located, stores should contact their ABA Member Relationship Manager: Catherine Cusick in the Great Lakes, Midwest, New Atlantic, and New England regions; Nathan Halter in the Mountains and Plains, Northern and Southern California, Pacific Northwest, and Southern regions.
