The American Booksellers Foundation for Free Expression (ABFFE) has created a variety of tools that bookstores can use to help promote its holiday auction of children’s book art to consumers. The auction will launch on eBay on December 1 and run through December 8.

“We think that many bookstore customers will appreciate hearing about the auction, which is a great place to buy unique holiday gifts,” said ABFFE auction manager Inessa Spencer. “Eric Carle, Rosemary Wells, Jon J Muth, Laura Vaccaro Seeger, Steve Light, and other leading artists have contributed more than 80 beautiful pieces.”

ABFFE has created promotional cards in two sizes — a business card and a postcard  —   that stores can order by sending an e-mail to [email protected].  ABFFE is also offering a web banner and an ad that can be included in newsletters and e-mails.

The holiday auction helps support ABFFE’s defense of the free speech rights of kids, including the Kids’ Right to Read Project (KRRP), which helps parents, students, teachers, and librarians who are fighting book bans in their communities.
