The next edition of Bookselling This Week will arrive in your inbox late Tuesday afternoon, January 26, with reports, and plenty of photos, from Winter Institute 11 in Denver. We’ll be there with more than 600 booksellers, 40 international guests from eight countries, and hundreds of authors, publisher sponsors, and service providers.

BTW’s coverage from Denver will feature the Opening Plenary “Small Data: The Tiny Clues That Uncover Huge Trends,” presented by author and brand-building expert Martin Lindstrom; the Monday Breakfast Keynote, “Presence: Bringing Your Boldest Self to Your Biggest Challenges,” by author and Harvard Business School professor Amy Cuddy; and a peek at Tuesday’s Breakfast Keynote, “The Idea Business: A Life Spent Writing and Selling Books,” presented by award-winning author, educator, and literacy advocate Kwame Alexander.

Tuesday’s edition will also have reports on Wi11’s Monday Town Hall Meeting, where all ABA members are invited to share their comments and concerns about industry issues with fellow booksellers and the ABA Board and staff, and Sunday’s Featured Talk, “Authors, Agents, and Booksellers — United for a Fair Marketplace.” The issue will also include plenty of photos from Saturday’s bookstore tours, Welcome Reception, and the Backlist Book Swap, as well as Monday evening’s Author Reception.

Next week’s edition will be just the beginning of BTW’s Winter Institute 11 coverage. In the weeks to follow, we’ll be providing in-depth coverage of many of the education sessions as well as features on some of the booksellers in attendance and plenty more photos.
