Booksellers planning to attend this year's BookExpo America will be able to check e-mail or access other Internet resources through the Booklog Internet Cafe in the ABA/Book Sense Lounge (Room 151 of the Washington Convention Center). For the past several years, Booklog, a leading provider of point-of-sale and inventory management systems, has sponsored the bank of computers, which ABA member booksellers can use free of charge.

"Booklog has been providing technology solutions to independent booksellers for over 20 years, so it seems a perfect fit to be sponsoring the Booklog Internet Cafe," said Booklog Vice President David deCastro. "We began providing this complimentary service two years ago and have had such a positive response from the membership that we simply couldn't say no when approached by ABA for this year's show."

The Booklog Internet Cafe will be available during all Lounge hours -- opening at 9:00 a.m. every morning, from Thursday, May 18, through Sunday, May 21. On Thursday and Saturday, the Lounge will be open until 6:00 p.m. On Friday, it will close at 3:00 p.m. for ABA's Town Hall and Annual Membership Meeting, and on Sunday, the last day of the show, it will close at 4:00 p.m.

In addition to providing a place to relax, go online, and grab a snack, the Lounge serves as one-stop-shopping for booksellers to gather information about ABA/Book Sense products and services and to meet with ABA staff and with representatives of ABA's affinity programs. (Watch for more about the many special features of the ABA/Book Sense Lounge, including a schedule for Book Sense Author Autographing, in next week's BTW.)
